Transport Insurance
Moviiu’s Ad Valorem transport insurance protects your artwork from pick-up to delivery with no excess in the event of damage. Simply select the “Transport Insurance” option when creating your online quote. We offer coverage for artworks up to EUR 100,000 and jewelry up to EUR 10,000. The cost of transport insurance is 1% of the item value (minimum EUR 20).
After booking, you will receive confirmation that your art transport is insured. If you require an insurance certificate, please email us at info@moviiu.com.
Please note that insurance is only available for shipments using Moviiu’s secure transport packaging. Unfortunately, we cannot insure items packed in your own packaging.
In the event of damage, you must notify us within 72 hours of delivery by emailing info@moviiu.com. Please include photos of the damage, photos of the damaged packaging, and—if already available—a detailed restoration cost estimate. Once all required documents have been submitted, the insurance company will contact you within 15 days.
What is the difference between “Door-to-Door” and “White-Glove” delivery?
We offer various delivery options tailored to your budget, needs, and the destination of your shipment:
“Door-to-Door” Delivery
Your packed artwork will be picked up directly by one of our established logistics partners, such as DHL Express, FedEx, or UPS, and delivered to the recipient’s doorstep. This delivery option ensures the fastest possible art transport from start to finish.
“White-Glove” Pickup
With this premium service, our art handlers will personally collect your artwork from your location and transport it to our warehouse, where it will be carefully prepared for shipment with one of our logistics partners (DHL Express, FedEx, UPS). Please note that this service is currently available only in Germany, France, and Switzerland, specifically in the following cities: Paris, Geneva, Lausanne, Bern, Basel, Zurich, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne, and Munich.
“White-Glove” Delivery
This premium service ensures that your artwork is delivered directly to its final destination by experienced art handlers. The transport is first carried out by one of our logistics partners (DHL Express, FedEx, UPS) to the warehouse of one of our 17 sister companies, located in over 22 cities across 4 continents. Once at the destination, your artwork will be delivered by specialized art handlers from our sister companies and, if needed, installed. Contact us to check availability in your city.
Can I book a specialized art transport with Moviiu?
As part of a global network of 17 art logistics companies, located on 4 continents in over 22 cities, we offer a variety of transport options tailored to the specific needs of your artwork. Our highly specialized sister companies ensure that your artworks are transported securely and under optimal conditions.
This includes climate-controlled transport vehicles to regulate temperature and humidity, which is especially important for delicate artworks such as paintings, sculptures, or works on paper. Our vehicles are equipped with air suspension to minimize vibrations and shocks that could damage fragile artworks.
Additionally, we provide GPS tracking and alarm systems for the secure transport of high-value or precious artworks, preventing theft or loss. For the transport of artworks, we also offer custom-made packaging such as wooden crates with padding or climate boxes, to protect your artwork from external influences and ensure its stability across different climates.
If your artwork needs to cross international borders, we handle the entire customs clearance process and accompany the transport with the necessary export/import permits. Whether by air freight for faster deliveries or sea freight for larger sculptures, we ensure that your artwork reaches its destination safely.
If you opt for our “White-Glove” service, experienced art handlers will not only manage the transport but also the professional installation of your artwork at its final destination.

Can you provide shipments for art fairs and exhibitions?
We do not offer transportation services for art fairs or exhibitions. Our focus is on the secure and efficient transport of individual artworks, with the option to ship up to two pieces in one package.
